Custom Pressings & Stampings

Pressings and stampings (also known as flat springs) are precision hardware components formed from sheet or coiled metal strip into specific shapes and functions. The process utilizes a series of high-precision dies to perform operations such as blanking, piercing, bending, drawing, and forming.

Unlike springs formed from wire, stampings have a much broader range of applications, such as:

Thanks to their high strength, high precision, light weight, and excellent consistency in mass production, precision stampings have become indispensable foundational elements in the automotive, electronics, medical, and consumer goods industries.

ZW Precision Hardware transforms flat metal strip into complex 3D components with exceptional functionality with leveraging leading-edge tooling technology and automated production. We provide the core components for the world’s most innovative products.

We have mastered a range of advanced stamping and forming technologies to meet your unique design needs in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.

This is the ideal technology for high-volume, efficient production of complex stamped parts. A metal strip is fed through a single, multi-station progressive die on an automated line, where all piercing, bending, and forming operations are completed sequentially.

This technology is exceptionally well-suited for parts that require complex bends from multiple angles, such as various custom clips and flat springs. It forms the material from different directions (slides) simultaneously.

This process is specialized for manufacturing cup-shaped, shell-like, or tubular hollow parts with significant depth. Through one or more drawing stations, a flat metal blank is transformed into a three-dimensional hollow structure.

Our precision pressings and stampings are actively used in a multitude of demanding industries.

In-House Tool & Die Expertise

We have an independent toolroom and an experienced team of die engineers. All stamping dies are designed, manufactured, and maintained in-house. This translates to shorter development cycles, faster response to issues, longer die life, and absolute control over product quality.

Comprehensive Material Knowledge & Inventory

We partner with the world’s top material suppliers and maintain a ready inventory of various grades and thicknesses of metal strip, including stainless steel, carbon steel, copper alloys, aluminum alloys, and specialty alloys, allowing us to recommend the optimal material for your application.

Rigorous Quality Control Processes

Quality is the cornerstone of our production. We utilize in-line vision inspection systems, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), Vision Measuring Machines (VMM), and SPC (Statistical Process Control) to ensure that from the first piece to the last, every dimension of every part meets your stringent standard

Value-Added & Secondary Services

We offer a one-stop service that includes tapping, riveting, spot welding, deburring, heat treating, plating, and component assembly, simplifying your supply chain and saving you time and cost.
